I have always been outdoors as long as I can remember, my love of Nature started young, but it was only later in my Army career that I became aware of just how beautiful this planet is, an exercise on the plains of Alberta really left an impression on me. The real love though developed when I took up Hill Walking, then that developed into walking with a camera, then like so many others the obsession came and took over. I find that being out in the landscape helps me relax and allows me to gather my thoughts and put things in perspective.

The image is a "selfie" shot by the magnificent Hoffelsjokul Glacier near Hofn in Iceland on 1st June 2016, a moment of peace and isolation I will never forget.
